He speaks directly to the camera, looking at talking points and going through a slide show. The format feels very laid back, relaxed, and like you are hanging out with Sean and learning a ton.
Does this mean Full Time Filmmaker’s style is inherently better? Not necessarily. I think this will boil down to personal preference. Sean is obviously extremely knowledgeable and the content in the videos are very good. For me, it was a nice change of pace and allowed me to listen and take notes with the accompanying workbook. If you want to get a taste of what his teaching style is like, try watching one of his live streams as those are very close in style to what the course’s videos are like.
I do want to mention, though, just how insanely positive and motivating Sean is. He has an incredible ability to inspire you, which I think is an unsung aspect of this course. Many of us struggle to start YouTube because of a lack of confidence or, in general, just need a boost to start our own momentum. Sean is great at this. Also, he is actually hilarious at points in the videos, and found myself chuckling at his wittiness while watching.
