What is Philip Bloom’s Cinematic Masterclass?
Philip Bloom’s Cinematic Masterclass is Philip Bloom’s take on how to make cinematic images. From the basics of using cameras and lighting to storytelling, conducting interviews, and more, this is the course you need if you want to make videos like Philip Bloom does.

Here are the benefits you can expect by taking this cinematic masterclass course:
Modules Covered by Philip Bloom’s Cinematic Masterclass
In this Cinematic Masterclass, Philip Bloom covers quite a bit.

Philip Bloom’s Course Content Style
Aside from the very first Introduction module, all of the videos are truly like a TV episode.
Each episode ranges from 50 minutes to 1:30 minutes and covers a specific topic in great detail. The first introduction module is available to watch for free, so if you want to test and see if it is a good fit for you, that would be a great starting point.
A typical episode shows Philip introducing the topic, like timelapses, explaining the aesthetic reason for doing this, and the technical way to execute this.
We then follow him on his journey on executing this technique on different subjects and different environments, providing specifics on settings, cameras, and tips to follow.

Philip Bloom’s Cinematic Masterclass VS Full Time Filmmaker and Unscripted Studio
Full Time Filmmaker, Unscripted Studio, and Philip Bloom’s Cinematic Masterclass are all on my list of recommended courses. So, who should buy which one?
The cinematic masterclass is perfect for someone who just wants to learn what the title says – how to make cinematic images.
If you want to learn from and adopt the style that Philip Bloom uses and implements, then this is a perfect fit for you. If you want to learn more about the business side of filmmaking, you will be better suited to Full Time Filmmaker. At a very basic level, you can look at each of the course creator’s videos and choose the course based on which video style you’d like to mimic the most.
Personally, I have taken all three of them and have picked up many tips from each. It’s like having three amazing teachers that help you in different ways.

Though, if you find that you have already mastered the basics and want to take your filmmaking to the next level, MZed is the best option. With their massive library of growing content, incredible courses, and great instructors, you get a lot of value for a small price.
Cinematic Images Are Possible
I’ve already made it apparent my favorite part about this course is how watchable it is. It is such a joy to watch and it could easily be on Netflix.
I like how everything is framed around following him and getting an inside look at his decision-making process. It is insightful to get to know how he approached, thought about, and executed the different shots you end up seeing in the final videos.

MZED Pro – Access to Philip Bloom’s Cinematic Masterclass and Much More

It is also worth noting that MZED, the platform that hosts Philip Bloom’s masterclass, has an all-access membership that gives you access to TONS of other courses that are related to filmmaking.
